Oh dear :| So if we were together until December 2016 he would he then be able to apply for permanent residence in his own right by applying for EEA4 based on his 5 years as an Extended Family Member - is that correct? Would we have to be living together for the 5 years? Yes partne...

In hindsight and looking back I can see that we probably should have stuck to the one route of applying though UK or EU law in order for him to get permenant residency quicker, however we were not aware of the EU route until near the end of the FLR(M) as we could do either because of my d...

I just received an email back and have been told our documents are with the Dispatch department and should be with us in the next few weeks eek...good to know :D Have just received all documents & Residence Card in Passport :D Right on the 3month mark...applied on 28th October 2011. Happy days....

Hello, I have been reading this post for a few weeks so thought I should add my experience; Applying for a EEA2 Residence Card (as an unmarried partner) Sent application 28 October 2011 Received COA dated 22 November2011 Now am waiting... However myself & my partner have a few travel plans comin...
