The advisor is wrong to include your husband in the assessment and to do so will harm his future. The advisor should assess the application on the basis of just you and your child. Obviously that may mean a smaller property is allocated but that can't be helped as your husband has no entitlement to...

I think it's extreme wishful thinking on the part of your uncle to assume that his parents can make sucessful settlement applications. Or maybe he is already aware of the near impossibility and is simply using this as an excuse to ask you to leave so he can alone. You can apply for housing but your...

You can make a joint tax credits claim if you are settled/British. If you have no children or disabilities, you'll have to be working at least 30 hrs per week. Thanks for your reply. :) We have 1 child. So, it doesn't matter if my husband (who isn't a british citizen) is working more hours than me?...

Claiming joint working tax

Hi all, I want to know whether I can claim working tax credits jointly with my husband, who is here on a spouse Visa (he came last September). The case would be supported if he had a job offer. Saying that you can easily get a job is not the case and in the current climate is not very accurate. The savings will help but a job offer would be good. Okay, thanks. Would a job offer suffice in the form of a signed letter from the prospective e...

Is there any savings or a part-time job and does the partner have any prospect of a job? Approx £1000 in savings and though he doesn't have an official job offer it will be fairly easy to get a job as a warehouse or telesales operative. And she doesn't have a part time job. Will this help her case?

Actually it shows on the table that Mirpur has made the largest amount of decisions at 242 in July, giving them probable cause to lag behind in their decision maki...

You need to show that you have at least the amount of the income support level of a couple in your circumstances-i.e. A couple with one child. Given that you are working and earning more than income support, and don't have to pay rent or council tax you meet the maintenance requirements as they sta...
