Waiting over a year for NTL BRP

Hi all,

A friend has been waiting over a year for her NTL BRP. She applied for this as her ILR stamped passport was stolen. Who can I get into contact with to speed things up or get a reply- Is this normal to be waiting over a year?

Re: Stolen passport with ILR stamp

Yes but it’s going to take at least 6 weeks. Just want to know if anyone else has applied for BRP without photo identification and just letters from social services and police reference numbers to explain situation. If so, would it be necessary to have a solicitor complete application form due to no...

Re: Stolen passport with ILR stamp

Because there are no other forms of ID available, for a BRP application, what documents can we include instead?

Re: Stolen passport with ILR stamp

We need something sooner, to apply for housing as the person in question is currently homeless due to domestic abuse. And it states it can take up to 6 months for BRP.

Stolen passport with ILR stamp

Hello
Pakistani passport is missing and it was stamped with ILR.
What are the options available without having to apply for NTL BRP?

Can an ILR confirmation be requested from the Home Office etc?
Please let me know. Thank you

Re: letter from family for proof of residence

Yes it is mandatory to include a letter from Parents confirming you live with them. I'm on the lookout for a sample letter. If you come across one let me know. Thanks

letter from family for proof of residence

II'm currently completing the set m form and I've come across the section where it says you need a letter from friends or family confirming you stayed with them. Is there a sample letter that I can use to make sure I don't leave anything out?

Re: council house and tenancy agreement question for set m

Also will I need to include bank statements from my account for financial proof? We have savings of 10k and I am not working. We have two kids and rent is at 400monthly. Husband gets approx 750-800 monthly and is an agency worker.
Will he need a letter from employer stating his work hours etc?

council house and tenancy agreement question for set m

Do I need a letter from the council stating that we did not resort to homeless help but are renting from them after replying to an ad through an online website? My husband will be applying for ilr soon.

Re: Change of address proof for ILR

You need to submit proof of all addresses over the 2 year period. If you only have documents/letters etc in single names you need to submit 12 pieces of evidence (6 in each name) spread as evenly as possible over the 2 years. The NHS letter you've mentioned would be the registration at your doctor'...

Re: Change of address proof for ILR

Also--

we only have bank statements and letters for child tax credit in our JOINT names-- how much proof do we need for both our names on one letter? What other letters can we give?
All the bills etc are on my name due to my name being on the tenancy agreement.

Please help someone!!

Re: Change of address proof for ILR

Also, we are renting from the council and my husbands name is not on the tenancy agreement as it would affect his ILR. So what can we do about this? Will this interfere with proof of cohabitation?

Questions on Ireland directive visa

Hi all, My friend (a British citizen) is planning on going down the Directive route and moving to Ireland with her husband who is a non- eeA national. She wanted help regarding a few matters before she went down the route; 1) Is it okay for the wife to meet the husband in the airport or will they ne...

Thanks so much for all your help. I'm in a desperate situation (though I may well regret it later!) and will go on with being housed through the council.

I suppose I will have to deal with the ILR application when the time comes. :o

Thanks once again. :)

Your partner is a restricted person. Basically it means that you may be granted accommodation that includes him but they can't take responsibility for any effect that may have on your partner's ILR application. Their concern is you and the baby rather than your partner's immigration applications so...

So, one must assume if the UKBA permit this, it will be fine. Get written confirmation from the UKBA. However, there is no guarentee that it will be permitted but that is of no concern to the advisor at the council; she is merely saying what she must do rather than confirming that what she is doing...

People at the council are not competent on immigration matters. Tell her to exclude your partner from the calculation and to see what is available on that basis. But, he can also live there if there is sufficient space. Unfortunately, emergency accommodation is often limited to rooms rather than se...
