Hi aluter, When you mention Applying as soon as I can, would I be sending a new eea1 and 2 application with the additional information and mentioning to HO that they are in possession of the remaining evidence? Am going to have my partner ring tomorrow. I did go to my local Sinn Fein office and the ...

Hi isw-London I did in fact order my folder much like you described. I had my cover letter first in a clear plastic sleeve, then the table of context for each folder tab. I not only label each piece of evidence, I indicated the exact number of each document (1 tenancy agreement, 4 rent receipts etc)...

Hi presido2007, We sent an eea1 application for my partner with my eea2 application. Ukba sent both of these back to us. Part of the letter makes me feel that the caseworker didn't look through our file thoroughly and just sent it back to meet a quota. It's probably not the case but when all evidenc...

Hi aluter There is a slight upside if the website still works. My mum sent an e-vite for my family in Canada to meet my partner/finance in October. I also have a card from my future in-laws congratulating us that I had misplaced in a big cleanup of my flat. I hadnt thought of included the engagement...

Hi. Thank you all for your replies. This is the letter I received for HO: (apologies for the long post) “I am writing with regard to your recent request for a Registration Certificate under the Immigration (European Economic Area) Regulations 2006. In order to obtain a Registration Certificate an EE...

Eea2 application returned

Hi I received my application back with my passports (not bills, etc) and a letter stating the my eea national has not meet the criteria for exercising treaty rights. The letter states that we have not proven we are in a durable relationship. We sent utility bills, phone bills, Internet bills, emails...

Hi aluter Truth be told, I'm wary to contact HO again. They seemed to get irritated the more a person rings. At first I thought that I haven't received anything because my app is as an unmarried partner but since it's not even been looked at, I don't know now. Hopefully I will hear something in a fe...

Hi Aluter

may be coming soon too and at the time I rang, the system wasn't updated? I really, really hope so :)

I rang HO today to inquire about my coa regarding a possible job interview. I have learned my application that was received feb 22 was only logged into the system in the beginning of march. I wonder what sort of impact that has on the wait time for coa and rc's. My coa hasn't been despatched (possib...

Job offer while waiting for COA

Afternoon all. As my sig shows, I'm still waiting for my coa. Today, I was offered a job. Would I be best to email ukba and let them know, or do you think it would make a difference, therefore declining the job? They are willing to hold the job for 2-3 weeks while I can sort out my docs. Also, In al...

Would any of the senior members know if, by going to brazil for a few months, m999 and his wife could apply under Singh? Then an Irish passport isn't needed, correct?

M999, I hope that if you chose to get the Irish passport it works out for your family. You may have to weigh the options (costs/time) of moving to the republic for 6 months vs waiting for a passport for a year that, unfortunately, may not secure a residency card. As I'm sure you've read in McCarthy,...

Okay will wait a bit longer :) thank you all for your advice. It would be wonderful if I was given permission to work but I won't hang all of hopes on it. Waiting is hard, but as my mum has told me many times "a year from now, it won't matter. "

Thank you both for your help. I will have a think and decide what the best course of action is. Still waiting for COA so no point in making too many plans yet. Am I correct in thinking that when the UKBA states 30 days for COA, they mean 30 working days (so 40 days including weekends)?

Worth asking for passport back?

Good morning lovely people! I hope we all had a nice weekend. I was wondering if I may gather advice: My mum skyped me yesterday, letting me know that she and my stepdad are moving to Portugal in June for 5-6 months (exact dates to be confirmed once flights are booked). My mum asked if would be able...

To heath2006, as we applied the same day, I have a feeling we should be receiving our coa by the end of this week (I hope so, anyways). fingers crossed for us. Bil123, I think you may need to wait another week for your coa. I hope you get it before then but from the ppl who have received it, it take...
