I received my ILR based on long residency in July (2013) this year and I am supposed to apply for a British Passport in July 2014.Before applying for British passport how long(at one go as well as sporadically) I can be absent from UK for travelling purpose?

Hello everyone,

I have been living in the UK since 7 August 2003, I want to apply for the ILR 10 years long residence. When can I submit my application?
you can apply 28 days before the completion of 10 years.So, you are eligible to apply from July 11.

Just a curiosity.Some people apply through solicitors (firms) who are not OISC registered(you know there is a space to write OISC regi no in the SET O form.Is it ok if such a solicitor(non oisc) represent the application even though my case is quite straight forward.
