You can't switch to the in-person method after you've already applied by post. Also the processing times seem to show a 3-4 week wait between giving your biometric details and getting your documents back. If you need to go to India that badly, you can still ask them to return your passport and go ho...

How long has it been? It would be sad if you withdrew the application right before you got the BRP.

Well that's the only option he's got, then. If he applies with his provisional results, he's just throwing good money away.

That letter is not enough. You need one that says when you started your program, when it ended, when your award was given, the sponsor number of the institution, etc.

You should write to the school and ask them to issue a letter that your lawyer thinks is acceptable. Or ask them to send your graduation certificate ASAP. £594 is a lot of money to throw away when the school could provide something more useful.

They returned my documents to me and said the application was "invalid." What kinds of things did you write in your covering letter?

I don't know where you heard that PSW visas take only 15 days. As you can see from the timelines posted in the sticky at the top, they're currently taking between 6-8 weeks for most people.

You cannot apply for PSW with provisional results. You will end up wasting a huge sum of money and being rejected anyway. Your only option right now is to talk to your supervisor and your international students department and see if there's anything they can do in your case. If not, too bad for you.

If they can't provide a letter, do you at least have your original graduation certificate from the institution? If yes, you can apply. If no, can you get one? If no again, then unfortunately you cannot apply for a PSW.

If the staples pierced any part of the photos they won't be accepted, so take new ones, be extra careful when placing them in the envelope, seal the envelope so they don't fall out accidentally, staple it to the right side of the page, etc. You should be happy that they emailed you about it instead ...

The letter should have the "Start Date" and "End Date" of your programme on it. Those are the only dates you need.

Changing method of payment after submitting application?

I sent my PSW application a few days ago, but when I lost the card I used to make the payment in the form. I had to cancel it and ask for a new one, which means my application will be invalid (most likely the new one will have a different CVV, or they'll try and fail to get payment while the new one...
