When i attended my ceremony last week, I was not asked for proof of ID. They only asked for the invitation letter.

In addition to your passport you need to send your naturalisation certificate. That alone proves your status as a British citizen and it supersedes PR status.

With all due respect, the guys at the Post Office are not very well trained from my own personal experience. If you read through the threads, you will get that sentiment repeated many times. It depends on the local council that you will be having your ceremony at. Some provide both at the same time and others do them separately.
