My sincere thanks to you all.

@cobra - glad my impatience made someone laugh :)

@Ayyubi72 - red bull is quicker and cheaper... but border control might give you a warm room for the night if you hand that over instead of your passport

Thanks again everyone!

I was wondering the same, thinking that I could complete my passport application before my ceremony - a bit impatient I know. Anyway, since my county council will already have the certificate, I will give them a call and try my luck. I will let you know if I succeed. I am also wondering about sendin...

You posted the invitation letter not the approval letter, which arrives after the approval letter. PSB, this was the approval letter and the only document that I received from UKBA. The invitation letter is a different document from Essex County Council. Compare my document with Alish60 - it's the ...

:( I guess no one has any experience with Islington council citizenship ceremonies. I'll just have to wait and share my experiences. Hopefully it will help someone else in future. Taken from http://www.islington.gov.uk/services/births-deaths-marriages/citizenship/Pages/default.aspx "Ceremonies...

@RoyalFlush I just saw your sample approval letter in the other thread. Lucky you! You got an approval and invitation letter at the same time. Mine says I have to wait to receive the invitation letter from the council and not to contact them before I receive it. I guess you can blame it on Royal Ma...

@ Astrid24 Thank you. It is absolutely a great relief! Almost time to be able to stop worrying about getting all of the details correct for each and every application... and watching the rules change on a daily basis. It has been a long journey. I don't think that those who inherit their citizenship...

Re: how is the approval letter worded?

Hi all, Just wonder how do they word the approval letter for bc? Hi desertlord, I have posted an edited copy of my approval letter for you to review the wording. Hope it helps: http://imageshack.us/f/850/photojyh.jpg/ As you can see, it is not generic wording. The first sentence is: " I am ple...

I'm thinking of asking one of my managers at work as a counter signatory. On the list of accepted counter signatories it says ...

@Astrid24 I hope you are ok. The comments of the other member earlier today (that I won't name here) were totally uncalled for. He was lecturing me about "TOLERANCE " and "democracy" yesterday. Don't take it to heart. He clearly has issues that he needs to deal with if he is spea...

Kennavarro, I agree with most of what you are saying. However, even a democracy cannot work without rules. And there have been numerous repetitive requests by the senior members of this forum to post discussions in the link. It makes it easier for them to moderate and seeing that it is a free and va...

BC Ceremony Venues

Does anyone know where I can find a list of venues where ceremonies are held? I think it might be useful in general to start a list. I did my NCS at Castle Point Borough Council (Essex) as I live in Basildon. Does anyone know where the default ceremony will be held (Basildon council does not offer t...
