Re: Travel with child on dependent visa and parent on ILR

Why ever not? There should be no difference as both are subject to 319H, 319I . I did recommend that you register your child now, if you are so concerned at what to tell the Immigration Officer. Yes Vinny you did indeed. And your help is very much appreciated in this regard. The links that you have...

Re: Travel with child on dependent visa and parent on ILR

Yes. I never had any such issues at the immigration check though. You can travel as long as the child BRP visa card has future validity dates and therefore you won't have any issues boarding the flights in india while returning. Thanks t2ict for your response, can you please let me know whether you...

Re: Travel with child on dependent visa and parent on ILR

any reason you are not registering the child as british now? he is now eligible other than that, they do bother that much, to be honest. the child has a visa -- good. especially if it's post july 2012 visa,no matter spouse or child, who cares why they didn't apply for ILR? post-July 2012 tier 1 dep...

Re: Travel with child on dependent visa and parent on ILR

Thanks a lot t2ict, i was thinking of doing the same after the call today, basically go as far as getting the visa for the home country in the 3 stage process (registration, getting the UK passport, applying for Indian visa), and after your response I am more inclined to take this route. Would you m...

Re: Travel with child on dependent visa and parent on ILR

I just called home office to check for my situation and the response I got was not what I wanted or expected to hear. He told me that it will be at the discretion of the officer at the border. He says that since you have moved from Tier 2 General to ILR, his Tier 2 dependent visa becomes invalid. An...

Do you still plan to travel with your daughter this month and whether you got any further information regarding this? Did you hear from anybody who has traveled in such situation?

Any feedback much appreciated.

Travel with child on dependent visa and parent on ILR

I recently got ILR and need to travel with UK born child on a valid dependent visa (did not include him in ILR application to register later). Vinny has kindly helped me in dispelling most of my doubts regarding this issue in the following thread. http://www.immigrationboards.com/indefinite-leave-to...

Re: P 60?

It is not a mandatory requirement and as you said it is not mentioned in the SET(O) form but caseworker may ask for it. Employment history is not needed if you have all the P60's for last 5 years

Re: Child born in UK previously granted leave (ILR, SET O, M

Thanks Vinny. I have been searching this forum to find any case where somebody has traveled with his child on dependent visa with parent on ILR. But I did not find any such case. I also went through the immigration rules and the paragraphs that you had suggested (319C and 319E and clause 7.20 in Exp...

Re: Child born in UK previously granted leave (ILR, SET O, M

Hi Vinny,

Thanks for the response.
vinny wrote:Moreover, do register your child now
For your above comment, is that a requirement to register before travelling? Is there a timeframe after parent ILR before which I have to register?

Thanks

Hi Vinny, Thanks a lot for your response. I went through the links that you had suggested and read 319 G to 319 I from Immigration Rules Part 8 and clause 7.20 from "Explanatory Memorandum". However they talk about the eligibility to apply for leave to enter or remain in UK for children. A...

Re: SET(O) Form Queries

It doesn't have to be 2 years before the application but any period of 2 continuous years after the last leave was granted. But it is best if you give the 2 years just before the application as it demonstrates your current cohabitation status

Re: Does your degree meet the B1 requirement?

Thanks t123456789 for the response. The degree is from India. I used Apr 2012 as I got know reading the other threads that between Apr 2009 and Apr 2010, PBS calculator was not awarding points for Bachelor degree. When I used Apr 2012, I can see 30 points for degree and 10 points for English. I hope...

Re: Does your degree meet the B1 requirement?

Hi Seniors/Mods, I have been searching to clarify the points requirement for English Language on Points based calculator i.e. whether you need just 10 points for English language or also need 20 points for qualification. I found some information in the following thread which talks about getting 20 p...
