That should be fine but you need letter from work stating absences were required for work related reasons for tier 2 period.

No Evidence is required for absences if you are on tier 1 unless the reasons was compassionate or serious. No need for evidence if it was just holidays within the limits specified.

She is eligible as she first entered in 2008 and hence the cohab period can be calculated since 2008. There is no absence criteria for dependants.

Correction need to have a visa for 4 yrs and 11 months b4 applying. As one could have got the visa and travelled 80 days later, he can still apply on the basis of 5 years as per the current rule.
