We have finally received my husband's RC. (see timeline below). The HO issued it just within 6 months but to be honest when we sent it off back in Feb I did not expect it to take so long. I think the way they deal with these applications is appalling. Anyways, I am happy we have finally received it ...

I just spoke to someone at the HO but no information was given to me about my husband's application. I sort of expected it because we are still within the 6 months but I thought I'll give it a try. We have 3 more weeks until the 6 months are up.

Update on my situation....sent an email a couple of days back to request for our passports back as we would need to travel in mid June. There was no reply to this email thus sent it again yesterday without any success. I then called UKBA today to try and find out whether my request is being processe...

As far as I know you'll be fine travelling to turkey without applying for a visa. As long as you have a valid visa for the UK they will issue you the turkish visa on entry. I'll be travelling together with my spouse but we're going to Greece. They do require me to get a schengen visa if I don't have...
