Just called Employers Helpline myself and got a confirmation. In case anyone else is in the same situation - the above points are all correct, i.e. if your employer has applied for a COS but UKBA is delaying the issuing, you can continue working legally after visa expiry until the certificate is iss...

Waiting for COS visa to expore 19th April

My employer has applied for a new unrestricted COS (Tier 2 extend) full two months ago and applied for an additional one (for myself again) shortly after. 6 April has passed, still no sign of COS. Employer called UKBA yesterday and here's what they said: - The caseworkers were instructed by the gove...

I think the payslips are only to confirm that you have actually been working for your sponsor for at least 6 months. The amount of salary has to be according to the code of practice at the time of application. I was switching from PSW to Tier 2 last year, my employer changed my salary just before th...

Yes, HR did apply through the SMS on the 10th of Feb. We're also thinking of requesting an additional CoS explaining the urgency of the matter. Hopefully we'll get a Cos in time through one of these requests.

madona587, manci, thanks for your responses, you have been very helpful.

Hi, Both my visa and COS are for one year. COS expires annually but visa should be for 3 years, however due to an error which I mentioned, the visa was issued for 1 year only and expires on the 19th of April. My concern is that expiry date for COS and for my visa are very close to each other and sin...

Ok, but my visa expires on the 19th of April. Will I have enough time? What if allocation is delayed (considering there are two bank holidays)?

COS to expire 5th of April, Tier 2 visa toexpire 19th April

Hi, I got Tier 2 General after 6 April 2011, but due to an error by my employer my visa expires not in 3 but in 1 year, so on 19th of April 2012. At the beginning of 2012 my employer got an email promting to ask for further allocation for this year, which will be available after 5th of April. I have...
