Re: FLR(M) expiration: which visa do I need next?

Okay! SET(M) is way more expensive than FLR(FP), but it's better in the long run? Also, I'm an American citizen and don't ever see myself needing to naturalise...

FLR(M) expiration: which visa do I need next?

I'm confused! I'm on the FLR(M) visa, the spouse of a British citizen. I work permanent/full time. We don't have any children. I entered the UK on Tier-1 in 2009. I need to renew my visa, but I'm not sure which one I need. We're staying in the UK for another 5-10 years, so the FLR(FP) seems right, r...

My impression is that the people you talk to on the phone don't necessarily have access to detailed information about your visa status - they might be able to see if it had been processed and was on its way to you, but if it's sitting with a case worker they won't be able to tell you how much longe...

Ways to get a status update on the phone

Hi -- I have travel plans to see my grandmother who is ill and a friend who is hospitalised next week. I don't have my documents/visa yet, though I've completed my biometrics for my FLR(M). Is there a way to ask the UKBA help line people to give you a status update if your case is under six months? ...

Re: About Biometrics

Do you know one think that I was just thinking now? I will explain: When I received my Biometrics booking letter and I went straight away on the website to book it, I noticed that there was only one appointment date available (28/02/12) didn't matter how soon I put my availability and I think that ...

Its now been over 9 weeks since i made my application and am still waiting for my biometrics appointment letter. I cant believe how long this is taking! Call them, multiple times. Write to your MP. Complain to your MP. This holding hostage of our documents without any responsibility has got to stop!

If you withdraw your application for travel before a decision, then you may apply for a spouse visa from your home country . Yes, I see your points. I don't think I can do that because a) I have a job here, which I can't do in my home country; b) I don't have another 600GBP to spend; c) I don't hav...

Passport needed panic

Hiya! My husband and I got married in December 2011, and with my visa renewal upcoming, we put off our honeymoon until April and seeing some ill relatives. I applied for a switch from Tier 1 (General) to FLR(M) in January; however, the Post Office lost my application for three weeks, so the UKBA did...
