Re: Timeline to British Citizen application for applicant with British Citizen Spouse

Your visa route qualifying period starts from the date you entered the UK on a family visa. If you switched to family route within the UK, only then does it start from visa issue date. 1. Do I need to wait for 12 months of ILR before applying for citizenship? No, provided you meet the 3 year residen...

How do I go about keeping my original passport when I apply as I plan to travel during the application period? No originals are submitted anymore. You simply need t...

1.Will that effect their extension as they are NRPF(is student finance a public fund?)? No. It is NOT public funds for immigration purposes. It is a LOAN, that has to be repaid. 2.Can i use Student finance (maintenance loan only) as part of financial requirement? No you cannot. It is a LOAN, not yo...

My friend applied for ILR inside UK. Useful to state what route to ILR has been applied for, what the full immigration history is and why your friend thinks it might be refused. Also useful for 'friends' to register on the forum and ask their own questions, it is their immigration journey and futur...

I will be eligible for ILR in May 2026, I will mention to Home office that wife (mother of baby) will apply for her extension of visa closer to visa expiry which is July 2026. In this case, the baby will be granted a visa till July 2026. I will apply for ILR with an urgent fee in May 2026 and will ...

There is no minimum 5 years residence for children. They apply for ILR when the parent who is applying on Set(M) does.

What do you mean 'IT Skilled Worker Visa' exactly? There is no such named visa as you have stated. There is a Skilled Worker Visa or a ICT Visa.

Also, better for your friend to register on the forum and ask their own questions!

What were the errors/mistakes?

You could have just written a cover note to address if they were not fundamental.

Refunds can take a few weeks.

1. Wait another week or so. HMPO Centres receive applications and supporting documents in bulk, it takes a bit of time to work through the system. 2. You have applied shortly before a half term school holiday, which is always considered peak period as is the summer. It is usual for high volumes and ...

1. No. 2. Furthermore, after withdrawing my naturalisation application, I have to apply for ...

Re: British Nationality (Irish Citizens) Bill

Perhaps a silly question, but if one is an Irish citizen, isn't the English language requirement automatically satisfied by producing an Irish passport? Nice to waive the requirement, but it was automatically satisfied to my eyes already. Not all Irish citizens are Irish born. There are 1000's from...
