The UK does not fall under the Schengen visa arrangements as they have their own immigration policy and laws.

You need a separate visitors visa for the UK - although Australians are issued visitor visas on arrival.

The date of application is the date of receipt by the UKBA. Their offices are generally closed on a Saturday so my guess would be that the receipt date would be the 28th. If you apply through NCS or post it, I would make sure that your application is received by the UKBA on Friday, 25th October late...

thx guys i would have to call DVLA tomorrow but i dont think i would get my new licence by thursday coz i have my NCS appointment on thursday 25th !! i do have my passport as proof of ID , but i guess i would need my driver licence as proof as well because it says on my test method of verification ...

Thanks for the advice. I am applying on a 5 year WP + 1.5 ILR. Life in the UK: I re-checked the guide and it states 'your confirmation' which I am assuming doesnt need a certificate. - I used my test certificate for ILR and when I applied for BC, they took the test certificate for submission again....

You can contact them if you wih but it will make no difference in the future as the date difference is so minimal. I am also not sure if you will have to pay the brp replacement fee of £37 and can take up to 3 months, so guess one has to ask if it is worth it as your BC app can just be done when you...

Generally it is normal that the BRP issue date is a few days after a PEO appointment date as it is produced by a different department.

It is the BRP issue date that will be used to consider your application for BC naturalisation.

For 10 years long residency you have to use form Set(LR). Set(O) is no longer applicable to these applications.
