I booked my appointment at the beginning of Feb 2012. This was the only appointment available for around 4-5 weeks.

Can you please tell your Entry clearance date and UK entry date.
That will help people who have gap between Entry clearance and UK entry.

HMSP Entry clearence date - 5th March 2007 and I was already in the UK on a different visa.

I agree - The main thing is that I got it in the end.
