Not sure of the charges that you have to pay at VFS centre however I am pretty sure that you will be better off carrying prepaid Royal mail envelopes (2 nos). Hello I have bought two special envelops thanks! Also I would not think that passport and birth certificate copy of my daughter would need s...

Re: Applying OCI for Minor Only

I had no issues in booking or attending the appointment. Upon entry, the reception desk ensures that you have the appointment letter and application form for the said appointment. I dont think you will face any problems by registering details this way on the VFS website.

I registered the details of my child as the main applicant to overcome this problem. Given that there is DOB detail along with the applicant details, they know that the applicant is a minor.

Re: PLEASE HELP : PBS Dependent ILR questions

I have got this response through FOI request as well as through an email response to the public enquiry email address. I understand that call centre responses are a bit unreliable and hence persistently tried to get a written response that I can use to support my ILR application. The point that I ha...

Re: PLEASE HELP : PBS Dependent ILR questions

I have received a response from Home office through public inquiry email id that suggested that PBS dependents are also covered by the guidelines to calculate the continuous 5 year stay in UK for PBS applicants. This means that the 90 day entry buffer that is applicable to PBS main applicants should...

Re: Time for submission of ILR

The key thing that needs to be noted from the (link above) Home Office response was the confirmation that the guidance of calculating continuous stay is applicable to PBS dependents too. All queries related to visa issuance or entry date can be answered based on that. I agree that PBS dependent cate...

Re: Time for submission of ILR

This is relevant to the main PBS visa holder and not the dependents. PBS Dependents require 5 years residence counted from date of entry to the UK. I was doing some web research to figure out if someone else has had this question and got a response from Home Office or not. As it turns out from the ...

PBS Dependents can continue to extend their PBS visas but only if the partner gets ILR based on the PBS route. Why should they be exempt if they joined their partners at a later date? Re: PBS Dependent of ILR Holder ( 5 yrs route)

How are you calculating the 5 years continuous period for the dependent? I have just confirmed with UKVI that even PBS dependent's are allowed to use the 90 days buffer period to cover the gap between visa start date and actual entry date.
