i've been saying to myself every day that the end is near, but it's been 32 working days now since biometrics (more than 6 weeks). I haven't seen anyone else on this forum waiting longer since biometrics so I can't even make comparisons. Further to Greenie's comment, I fear they have removed all cas...

I called up UKBA again about half hour ago and the lady I spoke to said yes while there has been a surge in applications in Tier 1 and Tier 2 for a number of reasons, BRP(RC) should not have been impacted since the fees have remained at £37 and there is no increase and those applications are dealt w...

I spoke to UKBA a moment ago and the lady said to me it is extremely unusual for BRP(RC) to exceed 6 weeks. She said she is not aware of any back log and that they are not so unusually busy that the BRP(RC) should exceed 6 weeks. Having said that, she wouldn't go further to confirmed what's happened...

I won't be surprised if you get it before 6 weeks. I was initially told 4 to 6 weeks max by UKBA

The reason we feel frustrated/paranoid/whatever anyone feel is that we have sent our original passport and not having any information on where is it willmake you feel frustrated/paranoid. In my case, it is clear that the caseworker missed out. How come I get all other letters but tow letters from U...

Greenie I understand exactly what you're saying, maybe I am sounding paranoid. However, if you were waiting over 6 weeks since biometrics for documents back (and maybe in the past you have), would it not cross your mind even slightly that maybe the caseworker has not looked your application or the a...

The caseworker is lying to you. Let me tell you why. If they did send you a letter to do biometrics, you would have 15 days to book an appointment (no necessarily do the appointment). Now, if the letter had been sent then that 15 days would surely have lapsed and UKBA (not the caseworker) would have...

That's interesting. What did the caseworker sound like? Did they sound genuinely human or robotic like. Also, did they give any indication about timelines or what they were going to do next?

So zaheer, did they actually say the caseworker has not bothered to look at your application or was it more a case that your application had not been forwarded to a caseworker. I suspect its the latter since you have not done your biometrics yet. You basically get your biometric invitation letter on...

Hopefully you hear within the next week. However, it is possible they may treat it now as a postal application in which case it could be at least four weeks. Anyway you have enough time still. I'm supposed to be flying at the end of the week and I've been waiting more than 6 weeks since giving biome...

So would you say 6 weeks wait after biometrics is normal? At what stage do you think it's taking excessive time? The reason I ask is that I am convinced no team is looking at BRP(RC) applications at the moment. In fact I find UKBA's policy quite disgusting and tortourous. For an application for BRP(...

That's interesting. What was the exact date you submittied your application for BRP(RC), did your biometrics and receive your docs back?

Thanks

Has anyone been able to get any more information on how long we should wait? Don't suppose anyone has their documents back yet. It's now been exactly 6 weeks

Interesting document here for caseworkers http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/policyandlaw/modernised/identity/biometrics/biometrics.pdf?view=Binary Our relevant pages are from 90 to 103. The Charged Leave Sheffield workflow team deal with BRP(RC) but I can't get any info about t...

I still haven't heard anything, did biometrics on 23 Feb (6 weeks ago!!). My MP has been on the case and he wrote to the Chief Exec last week outlining the issue - but how long will the Chief Exec take to act?? Probably weeks if not months!! your case is not unusual. All applications are taking lon...

Further to nissyj's comment, I agree, everyone should contact their MP. Apparently MP's have their own MP hotline which they can call to get info.
I don't think anyone is looking at our applications

i've been anxiously tracking my application too and i urge you to all contact your MPs because there's some proper mismanagement with these applications. applied on the 9th of feb, received acknowledgement a few days later. Biometric enrollment letter only came on the 15th of March, and I enrolled ...

if you have a biometric letter then your case will be with a casework team as they 'raise' your case and you are issued a Case ID at this point. The issue is that they are taking several weeks to decide these applications which appears contary to the guidance notes - however I would say that these ...

Re: Hi

This is really frustrating. I got my letter on Feb 2nd saying that a caseworker has been assigned, After that no letter at all from UKBA. It has been two months. I sent 6 written letters and almost 15 emails to customer complaints. My passport is with them. I need to go to India to visit my father ...

Refer to link http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/applicationforms/196971/guideicfn1020091.pdf Section 13 says they aim to process applications quickly - now 6 weeks after biometrics (12 weeks after application), is not quick in my opinion. And in fact if you look at section 12, it says BR...

BRP(RC) issue

Has anyone ever had a BRP(RC) application refused and why?
I submitted my biometrics for change in surname 6 weeks ago and nothing back yet and these applications are supposed to be quick. All required documents were submitted so really confused

Official processing times for Tier 1

What are the general processing times for Tier 1. It says 75% within 4 weeks, but what about after that? Is it like 100% within 6 weeks or 100% within 6 months, does anyone know?
