I just phoned UKBA and it they are now saying 75% are done within 14 weeks and 95% within 6 months for BRP(RC). Has anyone else heard this before?!!!??

in any case you don't need to have your appointment within 15 days, you just need to make sure you book it within 15 days (that actual appointment can be after that)

Has anyone tried contacting UKBA for an update - do you think there is actually a BRP(RC) casework team? I'm starting to doubt it

I did, but hardly any of them relate to BRP(RC) applications. Apparently the "Charged Leave Sheffield" workflow team deal with them - I have no idea who they are though!

Just out of interest, in the initial letter you got from UKBA acknowledging receipt of your application, did it say "Thank you for completing Form CRA" I was really confused to see this. I bet no one is dealing with the BRP(RC) applications at present and if so, they will be mixed with all...

I submitted a BRP(RC) application (change in surname) back in January and gave my biometrics on 23 Feb which is 5 weeks ago. This is why I'm concerned, I have no idea when I'll get the docs and the new permit back.

Caseworker on holiday

What happens if your Caseworker is on holiday. Will it only continue to progress once he/she returns or will it be allocated to someone else. Does anyone know?

And what happens after 4 weeks? I think they are just ignored. I did my biometrics on 23 Feb and nothing back, clearly gone to the back of the queue

What do Caseworkers do after 20 working days

As we all probably know here, 75% of applications are aimed to be decided within 20 working days. Now what happens when 20 days are passed? Will your application be given less priority and more attention given to someone within 20 working days so that their 75% completion within 20 days doesn't fall...

Are we the only ones waiting for BRP(RC) applications to be processed. Clearly no one else has had issues otherwise they would have posted here like us!!

I still don't have my docs back and it's been exactly 5 weeks since giving biometrics

Hi, yes Passport name is exactly the same as what I want on the BRP. How can it take more than 4 weeks (after submitting biometrics) to simply change surname. Nothing can even be done to speed the process.

BRP(RC) processing

Hi there. I submitted a BRP (Replacement Card) application on 19 Jan (to simply change surname to my married name). I gave biometrics on 23 Feb. It's now been over a month and I've had no documents returned and no contact from UKBA. I am extremely worried. Is this normal? Has anyone else submitted B...
