My prefer payment method is personal cheque I do agree. Generally, I think card is more preferable, however, from previous experience I had, I know card payment system is not reliable. When I applied for my current leave to remain (PSW), I paid by postal order. In my opinion that was more transpare...

Absolutely, but I can't put my bet on the bank. Anyways, what's done is done. Having said that, it appears that the acknowledgement letter came from their payment centre. The return address on the envelope suggests that. Also, it said on the guidance notes "You will receive a letter of acknowle...

Spoke to them on Friday. They said they can't see that they have taken the money and advised me to speak to HO. Felt like a tennis ball for bit there. They said that sometimes HO delays in processing bankers drafts. In my experience so far postal order seems to be a better option albeit the cost. Ju...

Just called them, the app is still not in their system (even gave the ref number from ack letter). I am wondering whether the delay is because I paid with a bankers draft. Let's see how it plays out this week. Hello Guys, Just called the HO as i was concerned about not receiving my Biometric Invitat...

Not sure whether a common person is allowed to have access to such data given it's confidential nature albeit it's yours. However UKVI should have access to it. So even if there is slight discrepancy (which can happen) on departure date, in theory they should have access to the data that has the act...

@D4109125, Casa or any other moderators please shed some light on this topic. It is quite tricky. You will have to wait for months to get it out of some countries. Quite often it's multiple countries you are talking about which could be even bigger nightmare. But I agree as be clear and as honest as...

Not sure whether there is any defined way, but the way I've done it on the set LR form is by the entry dates on your destination country. That's the only way unless you managed to save tickets or boarding passes regularly. I recall from a previous post from a moderator D4109125 (Amber) who suggested...

All she said was, they usually send it out within four weeks of of receiving the application. She said to give them a call back by the end of next week if I don't hear anything from them and they will try and help. She also mentioned that there was a recent surge of number of applications across all...

Hi Guys Is there any October 2013 applicant in the forum who got the bio invite. Still waiting for a bio letter. Called HO today, the lady on the other end said my application is not on the system :(, quite strange. On the hind sight, she was extremely polite and sounded like she was genuinely there...

Strange none of the October applicants got their biometric invite yet. The trend is usually within 4-5 weeks isn't it? I know in some cases it takes longer.
Any October applicants got bio yet?

@esmsi There is someone called amjadleeds who is waiting for more than a year now. On a separate note, I still haven't got my acknowledgement letter yet. I've posted my application on the 24th Oct. Paid with a bankers draft so can't even check if they have taken the fee. Is it too early to expect th...

Guys

How long do they take to send an acknowledgement letter? I've sent it off on the 24th Oct. Paid them with a draft just to ensure there aren't any hiccups. Do they normally send it after the payment has gone through.

Best wishes Gryphon

Thank you everyone for taking the time to reply to my messages. It's kind of you to share your views. So far it appears from a few replies from some moderators (which I got on a separate discussion on the forum) and gurus, it shouldn't be a major issue signing both part of section 5. Again I am full...

Gryphon, I thought about it and I really not sure what can happen. I mean the payment may go through or may not. Maybe it is good idea to contact your bank and explain. And maybe open a new topic or ask for telephone consultation with solicitor, it will not cost much, tell him it is very small thin...

There shouldn't be a problem. It will be obvious that it's for a single applicant. Thank you ever so much Casa. Do you think I should send a blank version of the page 21 from the form. It should have been blank since I am not sending any joint statements. Just need your opinion do you think it is n...
