As per guidance given to me by Czech embassy yes that is the case I would say. But remember you can only travel direct to Czech republic for that and cannot go through another country in schengen as that would require you to have airport transit visa and believe me there are very few airlines flying...

I plan to fly with BMIbaby.
However tried their site and nowhere they state where to contact to ask for advice.
Only if you have booking reference that you can contact them.

So does it mean that even though I am a civil partner of British Citizen I still cannot travel to EU without visa. Is it due to residence permit not mentioning the Family member?
Also that there is no transit visa required?
