No! They dont! I have known people have just landed a week before there appointment in UK for visa extension, got extension and went back after that.

The points for age will be the same what were awarded in the initial grant of visa. Hence you'll get 20 points now if you got 20 points then.

Extending you tier-1 visa requires you to do it by applying from inside UK. It does not require you to have spent a specific period in UK before applying.

Hence you need not to worry. Just mention your overseas addresess to make up the two year addresses required on the form.

Your have pointed it correctly!

I think UKBA have made a mistake in the new fee structure, as PEO are cheaper than postal! Perhaps they'll soon realize and correct it! but until then you can take benefit of going through PEO :)

Applied on 3rd Oct and got visa/passport by 21-Oct. so it was around 3 weeks time.
