darik,
I think we don't need to worry about X-Ray, they will take on airport itself. The only think is that we may need to wait for some time. Recently my friend went to London, and he told that no need to worry about X-ray.

IMHO you need to show only Indian salary. You can't add UK allowance in Indian salary.

radmanj,
Give details of your benifits then may be i can figure out.
At least for cash benifits, which is apart from the salary, you can claim points. For example you can claim cash bonus you received.

It is written in HSMP Guidelines somewhere i may not recall. But what it says is that you have to show the salary where you have stayed for more than 6 months. Suppose you have been onsite for more than 6 months then you have to show onsites salary/compensation/benifit and you can't show indian sala...

You must find out the condition of hotels if u gonna book hotel in UK.
Tubes, Express, Trams.... list goes on.

And don't expose ur wallet when u r walking on busy London streets.

I doubt the credibility of DHC Chennai.
Better you contact Home Office in UK, and explain them your situation.
If HSMP is on hold then there should have been a news from HO.

Guys don't start this confusing topic again. We already closed this topic and the truth is: The Start date is the Start Date stamped in your EC. The start date and the End date is Stamped in ur EC. That's all. If you are in confusion look into ur EC. And it has nothing to do with the HSMP Approval d...

Getting ready for tickets. Should i take one way ticket or return ?
I prefer one way, there is no return :) and it gives me more fund for applying EC for my spouse.

Do immigration officers at airport gonna raise eyebrows for one way ticket ?

Better to be truthful rather then hiding it :) You need to describe the Refusals, approved VISAs anyway will be in ur passport. I don't think refusal of VISA for any other country will impact ur EC, provided the refusal was not because of some suspicious reasons. Now i have a question, how they gonn...
