any how i would not encourage you to go the Canadian route but the choice is yours...

Canada is a really diffficult place - unless you have Canadian experience otherwise you will be driving taxis or frying buggers!!

Well, if Home Office can check that you left when your visa was expired, then you have a problem. They could check by looking at stamps in your passport. Seems you left without having valid leave to enter. This means you broke continuous residence. Look on home office web site, for official rules. ...

This is quite Bizzare as there are no conditions attached on ILR - you may lose it if you have been away for more than 2 years or obtained it fraudulently
