Hi Guys,

Last year I applied to change my post work study visa to a student visa in october 2011. I got a reply on the 6th January 2012 when the post work study visa expired and it was a reject.

I sent in a new application on the 24th. Please does this affect my 10 year stay eligibility ?

It took exactly 14 weeks.... from the date of application to receive it back. I can't remeber when I had to have the biometrics taken,,

I applied for my visa and recently got it back. the application was for a student visa teir 4.

My course is a one year course, therefore the visa should be until 30th January 2013 but instead i got 30th january 2014.

Is this a mistake ? what do I do ?

You should also apply for a SAR to see when the outcome of the initial application was decided. People are usually given 10 days to file an appeal. I am not sure if this counts as extant leave if you do not file an appeal, but it might be worth investigating as it would reduce the number of days ou...

UKBA love to do these tricky things with immigrants. And one more thing, if your application will be refused this time, they will not provide you in-country appeal rights, as teachnically, you have made an out of time application.
