Referee for my daughter's application

Hello, We are planning to make a family application for naturalisation. The MN1 form says that the first referee for a child's application must've known the child in professional capacity i.e. teacher, social worker, health visitor etc. While we've been staying at the same place for last 4 years, I ...

Where to fill details for Penalty Charge Notice

Hello, I had received a Penalty Charge Notice for driving in bus lane a year ago. I've googled around a bit and there seems to be some confusion around if such details need to be mentioned on the form or not. Though, I was reading through the UKBA employee guidance notes which states: 3.5.2 A fixed ...

Many thanks for a quick response.

Until what point would I have to mention as my nationality as Indian in any forms that I fill in (e.g. Schengen Visa form, landing cards at airport etc)?

Can I apply for Schengen after applying for naturalisation

Hello,

I am planning to apply for naturalisation using the local Nationality Checking Service. This means that I will get our (incl family) Indian passports back on the same day.

Can I then apply for Schegen Visa and travel to Switzerland while I am waiting for the response?

Regards,
Mehul

Form filling questions

Hello, I know that some of these questions might sound silly but I think it is better to be safe than sorry... especially with the amount of fees UKBA now charges. So please bear with me. Q1: I did not pay any PAYE for 6mths in last year, though in this financial year I have started paying PAYE (I a...

Rajuk09 - mate ,what happened to you application ?
Because of IT Issues UKBA took in all the papers on the day of appointment and I got an approval letter +BRPs 25 days later in post/courier.

All the documents that I have mentioned in my previous post were more than enough in my case.

Wow..! since March huh?

I think you should definitely take it a notch up and complain to Ombudsman.

Hello naeed, Unfortunately no updates. I spoke to Citizen's Advice bureau on Wednesday and they said that because UKBA is a government agency, cases of reduced service by them cannot be considered under trading standards rule. They suggested I should follow the complaint procedure as provided on UKB...

@Iriny_k Yes, I am just waiting until they call me! :( After going through other posts it's seems that the response time for these kind of cases is between 10-15 days. While my appointment was at 10:20am, my ticket number was still over 100. The appointments start at 8:15am and there are appointment allocated after every 5 minutes since 8:15am.. so by 10:20am.. it is pretty late I guess.

I think that the team who manages the biometric verification have a mechanism to throttle the number of verifications on a given day to ensure that the system doesnt fall over. They must have allocated a predefined number of verification requests that each PEO can send and hence while other PEO's do...

Will I need to fill in separate forms for each dependent or will the details that I've provided on the main (my) form be sufficient? Q2. Once the biometric has been done, can my family go home ...
