Re: Emergency Travel To Pakistan...!!

Thanks and so kind of you deathgaze1.

What if I do not have British passport for the baby due to the shortage of time. HMPO used to issue new child passports within 2 weeks but as far as I know, they now take more than 4 weeks to issue any type of British passports.

However, I am facing a situation which has so far got the better of me and despite getting advice from many friends, I sti...

Hi, I am filling in my British passport application form. In section 5 of the form, there is a requirement to enter the 'Place of Issue' of the British Citizenship certificate. However, there is no mention of a place (city/office) on the Citizenship certificate. I received my certificate in a ceremo...

It seems everyone who applied in early August has been approved. Should I be worried. I am still waiting. Is there a way to find out if you have been approved because I have been away from the address I gave them a lot (living with friends etc). The mail might have been thrown in the trash by accid...

Payment Card for My Citizenship Application - CC or DC....??

Thanks neoseal.

Like VR, your reply also favours Credit Cards over DC. I have already filled in my CC details in the payment slip so I am not on the wrong track.

Many thanks for your comments guys.

Payment Card for My Citizenship Application - CC or DC....??

I am applying for my British Citizenship via NCS next week. I am slightly confused as to what payment card I should use. I have already filled in the payment slip and have mentioned my Credit Card detail in that and have asked the card company (VISA) to put a marker on my account for this payment. H...

I think I understand his question to some extent. Yes you will be alright as you don't need a british visa on a UK passport for re-entry of your kid. Your BRPs are sufficient for you and your other half to re-enter to the UK. The most important thing for you to sort out is the kid NICOP card or paki...

Is a New British Citizen Acceptable to Act as Referee.....??

I am applying for my BC in the next few weeks. I am planning to ask my friend to be countersignatory for me however, he himself has got British Passport only about a week ago. Is it ok to ask him to be my referee when he has been a British Citizen only for this long?

Thanks,

Gap Between British Citizenship and Ceremony - Technical Q

Thanks all. I think we are all converging into one point now and that is the Ceremony must be attended within 90 days which is quite in line with what the Home Office has said in the GUIDE AN documents on page 21. "You must make immediate contact with the local authority, as you only have 90 da...
