Re: Continuous Residence ILR

@pavanto
180 days absence is allowed in single year, so try to break down 186 days into different single years and you should be fine

Re: Extension rules before 6th April 2015 and ILR

@ hsmp_apr2010 if you don't really care much about visa fees, then go for extention for complete piece of mind alternatively ILR is not that rough as you imagine it to be, based on other's experience here, if prepare yourself now for the application OR another alternative is to hire a Solicitor for ...

Re: SET (LR) application fee heavily rising from £1093 to £1

as @wf pointed out, Tier-1(general) were targeted for last 2-3 years with constant 50% hike and since even extension is closed for main applicants of Tier-1(General) target has been shifted to ILR applicants We formed a FB group https://www.facebook.com/groups/UKITF/ (link also in my signature.) to ...

Re: Advise needed for claiming UK experience points & accoun

by your description it sounds like you are NOT drawing salary from own company as director? but getting payslip/salary from employer or contractor?
If latter then no complications are there, just apply like any employed will do Or like you did last time

Re: Advise needed for claiming UK experience points & accoun

A1: you can claim 5 points for UK experience, even if you never claimed before A2: In case of Contractor check guidance which says accountant letter is enough. I am assuming you are not self-employed (in which case you need balance sheet, dividends, salary paid to yourself as director etc.). As you ...

Re: Help Needed on ILR Duration Start Date

Suresh there is slight concern. your deputation letter will certainly help BUT if you were paid in India it won't show you were 'economically' active for UK. In no way i am suggesting it will hamper your application but would have nullied all your concerns if you would have been paid under UK payrol...

Re: Help Needed on ILR Duration Start Date

still confusing :( Let me make it simple. you are originally were trying to prove your 5 yrs based on Tier-1(G) which you got as on 17-Oct-10? but based on 180 days absence allowed now you want to combine Tier-2 prior to 17-oct-10 i.e. starting from 19-Apr-10 when you left UK first time? My best gue...

Re: Help Needed on ILR Duration Start Date

Suresh honestly i am confused with all details, BUT what i can see you never had Visa GAP or break. What i mean you always had valid visa continuously and all valid to lead you to ILR. If you can split years preceding date of application such a way that none of yr has out of country absence more tha...

Re: Tier1 General to ILR - Question

you can combine tier-2(ICT) (got before apr2010?) with current Tier-1(general) to make up 5 yrs of continuous period.
i don't know additional documents, just go through SET(O) form and guidance for better clarity

i don't think even unpaid absence will be problem, and i also have (not 1 but 2) unpaid absences before rule got changed in Dec 2012. I advice everyone to go through continuous period guidelines here: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/275188/ILRcont_periods.pd...
