Re: T1 (G) to ILR === English ====

already discussed and in fact hotly debated in thread: http://www.immigrationboards.com/indefinite-leave-to-remain/point-based-calculator-going-away-t205044.html I am in same situation like you who have already proved ELA in previous Tier-1(G) entry & extension, so this change really confused me...

Re: Point Based Calculator going away

Dear members, any of you who attended PSC starting 6th, pls share your experience. Did any of you use traditional Naric ELA or SOC for your degree to prove English requirement. Cheers, Jacob I am also interested in knowing about T1(G)->ILR applications post 5th april. Jacob try to call UKVI: 0300 1...

Re: Point Based Calculator going away

i have to go with UKVI whims and fancies No is forcing you to apply for ILR. You can leave the UK if you wish to. Well CR001, i don't want to change direction of topic, and i heard this statement of "no one forcing me, and i can leave" from fellow immigrants umpteen times. But last thing ...

Re: Point Based Calculator going away

you started out with :) No immigration rules have changed for Tier 1 (General) migrants applying for settlement to suggest that they are now required to take SELT exam to prove English language proficiency (as has been asserted by one of you in the topic)!!!! now you agree it has changed as i was po...

Re: Point Based Calculator going away

it would have been convenient if Tier-1(G) forum was locked/removed. I will no longer talk about it. About ELA (English language assessment) I can choose this option only after receiving statement/letter from NARIC? Right now my situation is: i have no IELTS certificate or NARIC letter/statement. On...

Re: Point Based Calculator going away

geriatrix firstly thanks for reply and to make discussion clearer, we have now realized the mistake of looking for Tier-1(General) instead of settlement option. Therefore, i could see NARIC allows registration/processing with settlement option. secondly, i am still not sure if rules are not changed ...

Re: Point Based Calculator going away

Hi Devil81 yes, Tier-1(General) is not listed in NARIC, that is why we need to select Visa and Nationality AND Settlement option to process UK NARIC application not based on Tier-1(General)? this works same in case of SELT? I am getting familiar with NARIC process now, but IELTS SELT is still very m...

Re: Point Based Calculator going away

Thanks for replying @Devil81 even i mentioned in first comment in this thread that NARIC FAQ also DON'T list Tier-1(General) in their service? But selecting Settlement option may be way to get certified from NARIC. Even if i assume Tier-1(General) don't need any NARIC or SELT certification, there is...

Re: ILR & Wrongful CCJ - Advice Needed

I think you need not worry just provide all details and proofs related to CCJ with ILR application. CCJ itself is not reason for ILR refusal (CCJ should be declared one month before application) and more serious matter is Criminal record. BUT still you need to declare CCJ and provide details. PS: i ...

Re: ILR SET O Section 4 knowledge of English

based on experience of other applicants who got ILR via SET(O), submitting just original degree along with PBS calculator print out should be enough, no need to approach UK NARIC until unless Degree is not awarded point by calculator

Re: Eligible for ILR or not

I somehow have different take on this whole scenario 1) Economy activity in Tier 1 (General) doesn't matter, but what matters is legality of continuity. Economic activuty would have have matter when extending NOT counting towards 5 yrs legal stay. Please enlighten me with rules/links if i am wrong 2...

Re: Quick question on criminality check

Update!!
i had summary warrant from Sheriff Court with additional 10% added to arrears but nothing was beyond this. So i paid full amount and got receipt for same.

just to confirm this is neither CJJ nor Civil penalty/judgement and no need to declare it in SET (O) form at time of ILR?

Quick question on criminality check

Hello members I am still less than yr away due for ILR but had question about criminality check. Is it worth doing Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check myself? Reason is I am trying to sort out 4 yrs old council tax non payment issue and afraid it should not have had escalated to point of entr...

I tried searching info i government website but no success you should contact accountant or HMRC to get correct information and procedure. ...
