Some of them got surrender certificate only by submitting current passport even though they had 2 or more cancelled passports.
It is down to the person and its mood on that day. Carry everything you have and hand over anything that requested.

Easy option is pay the OISC registered agent around £500 (same day service) and get it done next week once you have your bank statement.

No you can't. You can only get PIO. To get OCI , parents need to hold foreign passport.

I called HO and was told decision has been made. It will take 10 working days to get the letter. Was not given the decision date.

@Pisces Did you call home office to find out the status. If not,I think it is good idea to get an update just make sure nothing lost in the post.
You can just ask them to check whether anything has been posted for you.

As far as I know, normally it shouldn't take more than a week (10 days at worst case) from the decision date. Give them a follow up call and find out the status on monday/tuesday.
