Information on how to calculate absences is on the form and booklet instructions. You only count the days that you were not in the UK for the entire day. You fly to Amsterdam on Friday, you come back on Sunday, 1 day of absence (Saturday)
Completely agree. Bearing in mind that this is a forum to help people with the process and assist with the bureaucratic aspect of it. Not a forum to offer advice on bypassing the legal requirements of the process. The good character requirements are not merely a nuissance getting in the way, but a g...

Im also an EU citizen from the September batch. Still waiting. I had nothing to declare, I have been employed for 7 years non-stop by the same company, no convictions, no tickets, no nothing. I am not too worried to be honest. Would be good to get it out of the way, but a refusal needs to be on some...
Assuming you already fulfil the requirement of 6 year residency, you have 2 options: 1) apply for PR and then for naturalisation. Total time: time to get PR (1month?) + 12 months + time to get naturalisation (say 2 months) 2) apply for naturalisation. Total time: 3-8 months (based on what i have bee...
I am also an EEA citizen who applied without PR. 2.5 months now. I think i should point out that the application timescales are up to 6 months. While we would all like an approval ASAP, we knew the timescales from beforehand and I dont see any reason for concern if you have no response after 2-3 mon...
"It is a criminal offence not to complete and return the annual voter registration form (which could lead to a fine of up to £1,000), or to provide false or inaccurate information (which could lead to a fine of up to £5,000 or a term of imprisonment for a term not exceeding 51 weeks). You may a...
I am also in a similar position but i am not sure i understand what 'safe' or 'unsafe' means. An application might take longer to be processed, but it cannot be rejected without any reasonable grounds. These grounds cannot be that you didnt have PR. If HO need more evidence, they can request that. O...

Normally you have to wait for 3 years after the conviction date.
May I ask you something? You didnt declare a conviction you had. How confident are you that the HO wont find out? They can argue your citizenship is obtained fraudulently and strip you off it.
Hi, I have my NCS appointment next week and want to make sure i make no mistakes (£906 is not little money). (I am an EU citizen, working full time in the UK for 9 years now, UK masters degree, LITU passed) I assume i will go to the NCS appointment with all my documents (passport, degrees, payslips,...
I'm an EU citizen, in the UK since Oct-2005 (first studying) and then working since Apr-2007.
In the 'date you received ILR', do i have to put something or just leave it blank? I think that technically i can say i had ILR after working for 5 years, so Apr-2012.
