Re: ILR (LR) 12 months gap

What visas did you hold over the 2 years that includes the absence? What month/year was your absence? It was Tier 1 General visa at that time. i Was away from oct 2011 to nov 2012. Absences are not issue, lack of meeting earning criteria is as you could have applied for 5 years route. You could hav...

Re: ILR (LR) 12 months gap

What is your full immigration history? I am assuming you are planning to apply for ILR based on long residence. I am in the UK from 2007 (student Visa+PSW+Tier 1). I had two tier 1 extension. I have valid visa till 25th Feb 2018. the reason for not applying through Tier 1 general route is that I ha...

Re: ILR eligibility - away for 1 year in 5 years period

You need to break down your absence per 12 months from the date you wish to apply for ILR (the qualifying 5 years). Absence of 180 days or more in any 12 month cycle breaks residence continuity. I think period spent overseas for work would break continuity and reset clock. Please correct me if I am...

Overseas Income and tax issues - ILR

I applied my initial Tier 1 from Pakistan (2010). I came in the UK in May 2010 but left for overseas employment in April 2011. Came back in June 2012 (I understand my period will not be counted as overseas employment and clock will reset and start from June 2012). I then obtained an extension based ...
