Re: May 2018 Restricted COS

I know someone who was on 45 points in April got approved on Friday. Whether her company increased her salary (45k) or not I don't know. But she definitely got approval on Friday and was asked to submit the visa application. You mean Friday 11th May 2018 or APRIL ? Friday 11th May 2 days ago. Appli...

Re: Home office cockup with address

I wish it was sent to my next door neighbour, he would have forwarded it to me. The trouble is that it was sent to the block of flats next to mine, with the same flat number. Whoever got it probably thought the letter was addressed to someone who previously lived in their flat. And it wasnt just a t...

Re: Home office cockup with address

This is an update on my case with some advice for anyone who applied or thinking to apply for citizenship. Today I finally got the approval letter, 4 months after the initial decision was made. As mentioned above, the home office had made a mistake by sending the approval letter to the wrong address...

Home office cockup with address

Hello, So I made an application through NCS on 4th November last year, biometrics done a month later. Last week I called home office to get an update on the application as the 6 month period had passed. They called me back today to give me an update and while the lady was asking me to confirm my det...

UKVI Survey email

Hi, I applied for a citizenship back in early November but still waiting for a decision. A few days ago I got an email from UKVI asking me to fill out a short survey about the service. The email does not say whether a decision has been made or not, only that "The aim of this survey is to find o...

Employment history

Hi, Back in 2007 I worked part time for a short period (3-4 weeks) while I was on my student visa. I don't remember the exact dates, I don't even remember the name of the employer. I don't have any bank statements or other proof. In addition, at the time I did not have a national insurance number (N...

Re: Physical presence 5 years before

Hi, why don't you use another NCS apart from this one you have appointment with on nov 12? You can use any NCS and it doesn't have to be the one closer to your residential address e.g. look for one close to you work area and try book during lunch time which is what I did for mine. I live in London ...

Re: Physical presence 5 years before

Well it isn't outside the applicants control is it? You were either in the UK or not. If you choose to take the risk and apply 2 days before you were not in the UK 5(3) years ago, it is not HO's fault, it is yours. HO cannot take responsibility for people making the wrong decisions in planning thei...

Re: Physical presence 5 years before

Can senior members or people who used the NCS confirm the date of application when using NCS? is it the date of the appointment, or the date the NCS sends the application? Or is the procedure different from branch to branch? Thanks, Date of application is date received by HO (for UK-based applicant...

Re: Physical presence 5 years before

I have ILR from July 2014, so eligible to apply any time. Just found this in the residency requirements guide: 3.2 The start of the qualifying period of 5(3) years is the day after the corresponding application date. Thus, for example, if the application date is 5 January the 5(3) year qualifying pe...

Re: Physical presence 5 years before

Form AN clearly states that the date of application is the date that HO receives the application. You should wait till end Nov early Dec to apply so that it coincides with when you returned in 2010 otherwise it will be an automatic refusal. Thanks. This means that the submission date is totally out...

Physical presence 5 years before

Hi, I have an appointment with NCS on 12 November (this is the earliest appointment available). I left the UK on 13 November 2010 (5 years ago) for two weeks. Today I called the home office and they said that they calculate the 5 years period based on the date I submit the application. So if I submi...

Re: HR assistant as a professional referee

Thanks for your response. I am thinking to ask a senior HR assistant from my previous job (because of the 3 years requirement). That's her job title in the company but she actually have more responsibilites (e.g. recruiting personnel etc..) than a normal assistant. I think I'll just ask her to put &...

This refers to the date of your first entry into the UK at the beginning of the period of stay on which this application is based. I switched from ...
