Congratulation PCB, you journey is over, @ joelondon Dont worry about the employers letters if you dont have ones, your HO WP/HSMP/ILR letter should be sufficient, you can take other things like P60 etc. Actually this would be simplest application for UK HO till now for your nationality journey. Wonder if those who have applied for passports can help with this query. In the passport application form, do we naturalized citizens need to fill out Section 4? The guidance notes state: "Details of the parents of the person named at section 2 of the application form must be filled in. If both...

Mehr,

What was the manner of refusal? Did you send the refund form? Also in the letter backdating your ILR was there a reference to a refund? (I believe the letter has a standard form with a promise of a refund in the later paragraphs).

Have you received a refund check yet? (Apr 09 JR)

I completed and sent the refund form, downloadable from the UKBA web site. I got my ILR via the PEO at Croydon on 2nd of June; the accompanying letter backdating the start of the ILR also refers to a refund check being mailed automatically. No sign yet, but curious if there is anyone who's gotten th...

Switching from HSMP to Tier 1 well before LTR expires

My LTR expires Nov 15 this year. Can I go ahead and apply to switch to Tier 1 status now? Presumably, this will give me 3 years LTR from now instead of having to wait till Nov 15?

I'm in the 1+3+1 category and Nov 15 is when I reach 4 years from initial EC approval.

Many Thanks

Approval/Review by Nationality Statistics

For all you data hounds out there, there is fairly detailed breakdown of application numbers by nationality and other cuts of the data, including review rates, etc. at the Home Office web site

Amhilde, I have skimmed through your posts and really feel for you. As others have pointed out, you do have limited practical options available, albeit expensive ones, but that is not the point of my post. I don't believe that caseworkers have something against Americans in particular as you seem to...

Noddy, I don't think it will be particularly useful to share the contents of my summary page any more so than I already have. My suggestion is to include as much information as you think would be useful for the case officer to get a good idea of your first-year activity and profile at a glance, and ...

Hi Rhodes,

Has the high commission placed the visa in your passport? I am curious about how long this generally takes, even though you are in London and my case is in Buffalo, USA.

Thanks

Passport stamp timeline

If all goes well, I am assuming that a few months after the medical is done and results sent, one receives a letter from the Regional Program Center indicating approval of application, and asks for the passport to be submitted for the visa stamp? Is that how it happens? And once the passport has bee...
