Re: Tier 1 (General) Extension Approved

Hi iubus2005, All they provide you is a 3 page approval letter stating your approval and the points scored. Last time when I went for extension I did ask them about the duration but they weren't bothered to answer. All they said is it will be stated on your BRP. I knew the rules so I wasn't bothered...

English language Test for Dependants

Hi

Is English Language Test required for dependants to extend Tier 1 (general) visa within UK?
There is nothing in the dependants form which specifies ELT requirements.

As far as I know it's only required for ILR applications.

One of the posts I read here has made me absolutely confused.

Thanks

Re: Refund from HMRC (Ltd Company)

Hi

After a bit of search on google engine & GOV.UK, I found this. See link.

https://www.gov.uk/working-tax-credit/overview

So that answers my first question. I'd tick No. Working tax Credit doesn't apply.

How about my other query regarding refund?

Thanks

Refund from HMRC (Ltd Company)

Hi I have got a refund from HMRC for the excess tax I paid. Amount was circa 4k & put back in to my personal account. Do I need to mention that in my Tier 1 (General) extension form and put a tick against section N.2- Working Tax Credit? Is it the same thing or am I thinking in the wrong directi...

Re: Reporting changes to HomeOffice

Hi Waqqasbhangoo & jonbca

I have changed my address twice after I got my extension but I have never reported any address changes to HO.
It is recommended but not required.

It's a different story if you are awaiting a response from UKBA or you are required to register with police.

Thanks

Re: Tier 1 (General) Extension Appointment Query

Hey Malik44 thanks for the reply.

Just out of interest, is it possible to get a Saturday appointments as well? Recent posts I came across had someone getting appointment/approval on Saturday. Have UKBA started to work on weekends as well?

Thanks in advance.

Tier 1 (General) Extension Appointment Query

Hi chaps, I will be applying for my Tier1 general extension sometime in Nov with my wife. I have got few queries in relation to that. 1. I went for my last extension in July 2012 where I had to book an appointment 40 days in advance. Slots used to open at around 12am and they would give you a window...

Re: Ltd Company Contractor (Tier 1 General)

We are just going around in circles. Your comment is not clear to me. To make it more simpler basically what I'm saying is I believe I should be able to claim points under Previous Earning for myself & my wife's earning. e.g My earning component is (a+b) & wife's earning component is (c+d) S...

Re: Ltd Company Contractor (Tier 1 General)

Re: Ltd Company Contractor (Tier 1 General)

One last query for scoring points on previous earnings. I know it's daft to query this but just to make things more clear. When claiming points under previous earnings will the points be awarded based on joint earnings for both the shareholders or is it just the earnings of main applicant (Director)...

Re: Ltd Company Contractor (Tier 1 General)

Hi Muditmalhotra Thanks for your response. That is contradictory to what I have read on the forum. People had more trouble specifying 'Self Employed' with UKBA asking for more documents. May be not everyone were as fortunate as you were. I guess it again depends on which PEO you attend. Was there an...

Re: Tier 1 (General) Extension until 2015

Hi Ram14esh

I am sure Tier 1 (General) dependants are not affected by these changes. Dependants can always apply/extend their visas. Unless board gurus have something specific to share. Thanks.
