sorry my mistake.. £121 is for FLR(IED).. lol I am embarrased for this stupid question :) Cheers! Ish, you should not be embarassed to ask....that's the reason for the forum - to exchange ideas and experiences and hopefully to clarify members' misunderstandings of the mountain of guidelines on HSMP...

Tom,

Go to this HO website and print off the Urgent Treatment Form.

Your case may be decided faster on grounds of urgent travel but rather than simply quoting the Air Ticket No., I would enclose the original ticket itself or at least a copy.

Papafaith,

What is this premium service all about?? Please provide me with some more info on it.

Regarding HSMP extensions, all I know is the FLR(IED) and the Urgent Treatment consideration.

Lisa, Welcome to the forum! There's plenty of very useful posts on the forum to give you good guidance. I'd suggest you inform your employer of your intentions (I'm sure they'll appreciate so that they can do some succession planning), and following that, request your manager for a written reference...

I'd suggest you apply for extension near the expiry of the first year of your HSMP visa in line with the guidance notes.

Alagomeji,

I'm afraid you might have to put off some travel plans if you have to get that EC sticker into your passport as you can't have one without the other!

Cancer, I figure your employer operates the equivalent of a PAYE system which is operational in the UK...where the employer deducts any tax payable before paying you. The responsibility of remiting the tax then becomes that of the employer as they deducted it from source. As far as you are concerned...

FLR-(IED)

Hi guys,

I submitted mine last week...and now the waiting begins. However as always, I'm very grateful for guidance from forum members which is incredibly helpful in putting such applications all together.

I remain positive that 2005 will see major improvements in HO processing times.

Sai,

IMHO I don't think your wife is eligible for unemployment allowance (benefit) as this is on the list of public funds...If she is able to make a successful claim, that may work against her in the future ie extensions etc.

IMHO it is not necessary to travel to the UK on a return ticket under HSMP visa as it is presumed that you are going to stay 'permanently'. If it is not more expensive (many times it is), buy yourself a return ticket but surely you shouldn't be turned away upon arrival simply because you didn't have...

Shall I write to ask or wait for more since it usually takes only one or two days for first class air mail within UK to be delivered? I think Fuman should be a bit patient...the postman will soon deliver the long awaited package. Surely having waited this long for a decision, you can wait a few mor...
