Question on Spouse visa for wife of an ILR person in UK

Hello I recently got my 'Indefinite Leave to remain' (ILR) in Jan 2013. This was an upgrade from my previous Tier-1 Visa. I am planning to get married in mid July 2013 and want to plan for my wife’s visit and UK visa in advance. On the UKBA website it says – You cannot apply in a partner category if...

I dont remember the exact date of rejection I am afraid but it was in the last week of June. The reason was that i did not submit suffcient documents.

ILR and British passport

Hi I am originally from India and have been living in the UK for last 6 years - 1 year as a student and 5 years as working. I am now applying for an ‘Indefinite leave to remain’ in January. I understand that we can apply for British passport soon after 1 year of ILR application? My queries basically...

Period of grant of Tier 1 (General) extension

I just got my Tier-1 Visa extended for a further period of two years (through PEO yesterday). I have heard that some people are granted the extension for three years? Why this difference?
The standard extension is two years or three years?

Arrival of Bio-metric Residence permit

Hi All I am quite happy that I got my Tier-1 extension today through a PEO at Croydon. Unknowingly, I had already booked my air tickets for abroad for 15 of June (Friday). They said that the Bio Residence Permit will arrive in 5-7 working days. I have two things to ask - 1) Do we need Biometric Resi...

You are, in a way, misdirecting the basis of your question by suggesting you are applying for a visa. Visas are issued exclusively outside the UK for people who wish to enter the UK. You are already inside the UK and will be applying for leave to remain issued in the form of a biometric residence p...

Refused entry to the UK

Hi Guys I have a Visa appointment tomorrow (11 June). I am wondering why the following question no longer exists in the application form - Have you ever been refused entry in the UK? There is a question about the deportation but not about refused to entry. I am worried because I was actually refused...

Discrepency between payslip and bank statement

I am applying for extension of Tier-1 (General) and have the PEO appointment on 11th June 2012. I have the following two queries – • Discrepancy between payslip and bank statement For a particular month, the net salary in my bank exceeds the net salary in the payslip. This was due to an error...
