pjunk, your child was born in the UK? If so, after you and/or your spouse get ILR, an application to Register the child as a British Citizen can be made, under section 1(3). I already have been to the page, information there is ambiguous. As it tells me I need to complete 5 years but then it says you can apply 28 days before your visa expires.
