You need to read the financial requirements. Are you the company director? if so, then you fall in Cat F from the financial requirement. I understand you don't have enough money but why can't you just apply for ILR for your wife because if you apply for ILR then you do not need to pay the Surcharge fees

the FLR(M) fee is £649 and surcharge is £500 for the 2 and half years = 1149 and ILR is £1500 just £351
