Hi all, My wife got ILR in 2014 and her ILR Brp will expire in March 2024. We are in a dilemma and would really appreciate your advice. The issues is she has been living abroad for 8 of past 10 years after receiving ILR. For 5 years, she was looking after her mother abroad because of her mother's h...

Re: ILR - Renew BRP

Sorry didn't understand! What do you mean by "BRP is in my possession and my responsibility to keep it In good order" ?!! It's got nothing to do with that. My query is not about a lost or stolen BRP. ILR waa granted and the BRP says so with an expiry date after 10 years written on it. Now ...

Re: ILR - Renew BRP

So if someone has to travel overseas, will have to do without the BRP? That seems strange and unworkable

Re: ILR - Renew BRP

Is there an option to pay a higher fee/ premium service to get a new BRP card quickly. ILR granted in 2013, BRP mentions Indefinite Leave To Remian with validity till 2023. May need to travel on short notice so wish to avoid waiting for weeks and weeks to receive new BRP.

Is there a time limit for first entry from the date of issue of 5 or 10 year long term UK VISIT visa

Hello, My relatives were granted 10 year long term VISIT visas for the UK a few weeks ago. Does anyone know if there is a prescribed time limit from the date of issue within which the first entry has to be made? i.e any stipulation for the first entry within say 3 months or 6 months from the date of...

Re: 3 specific questions SET (M) for spouse

Can I put the naturalisation date in the date and then in the question on 'On what basis...' mention 'obtained ILR in 2005 via work permit and HSMP ...?' Amber or other experts please do not be annoyed. I am repeating the question in spite of a clear answer because when we applied the first time usi...

Re: 3 specific questions SET (M) for spouse

Thanks Zubair but now I am confused. I thought Amber was giving an example . In our case, should it be the date of naturalisation on my naturalisation certificate or should it be the date of ILR on my cancelled passport from my earlier nationality? I got my ILR in 2005 and then naturalised as a brit...

unemployed british citizen sponsoring non EEA wife

I am a British citizen. My wife is a non EEA national currently working in Eastern Europe. She has a valid multiple entry visit visa for the UK which allows her to stay for not longer than 180 days continuously. This worked fine for us so far as we spend time between both places. I have recently bec...
