Re: Another obscure Surinder Singh question

Hi Noajthan

Wouldn't the PR depend on kind of agreement that happens between EU and UK?

Re: May '16 naturalisation application timelines

My wife applied on 10th May and received the approval letter today.

The letter is dated 8th August and I was wondering why it was posted after 25 days :)

Re: cheapes-quickest self suffiency resident card in EU

I intend to do the same. I want to take my mum from France to Ireland.

I believe one of us will have to try it to see if this works :)

Re: Family Permit Rejected

Hi Hamza,

So sorry to hear that.

Could this be because you was working with a UK company and getting paid in UK, UKVI didn't consider the treaty being excercised and that's why you are still considered as British citizen?

Re: STAMP 4 (5 Year Approvels) in March April and May 2016

Hi Obie,

That's great point.

What other evidences can be provided to prove it? E.g. My mother is widow and don't have any other sibling in my home country that can look after her. I'm the only one supporting her at the moment and got evidence of money transfer over a year.

Re: STAMP 4 (5 Year Approvels) in March April and May 2016

I think its normal to ask how parents are supported, so i justified by submission of money transfer and house hold members etc ..
Hi Hamza,

Did you transfer the money from your account into your parents' account in Ireland?

Re: cheapes-quickest self suffiency resident card in EU

Also, a job in UK shouldn't result into cancellation of Irish resident card unless the person in question misrepresented himself in Ireland and provided false economical documents related to Ireland job.

Re: cheapes-quickest self suffiency resident card in EU

Why don't you apply for UK FP ? If you are in possession of UK FP, you can come to UK and drive to Ireland via Belfast without any issue. The success chances in this are really high and you would be in Ireland without much of pain.

Re: My dependant daughter

That's correct and it's a risk.

if she doesn't have a case office then it's highly likely that she may be checked and detained via ferry.

One option could be to put in a fresh application and then travel but this may cost money as they will charge application fee + health surcharge.

Re: My dependant daughter

You can get into a car and try to go to Belfast using a letter with her name on or some other form of photographic identification.

Once in Belfast, drive straight into ROI.

Re: My dependant daughter

You'll need her passport if you want to go to another country. You may be able to go to Ireland via road using some other form of identity but as far as I know you will need the passport to apply for her stay in Ireland. HO may play a hardball and not give you passport back even you withdraw the case.

Re: My dependant daughter

Hi, Do you have the documents to support that she is your dependent? This may include money transfers to her accounts and why she cannot work independently? Ireland is very harsh on the permitted family members nowadays and it may be very difficult to get the visa for her in Ireland. Have you got he...

Re: cheapes-quickest self suffiency resident card in EU

I agree. This is true!!

If one is in the UK then it's easier to reach Ireland. Take a ferry from Fishguard and go commando.

Has anybody every tried this on this forum?

Re: cheapes-quickest self suffiency resident card in EU

Hi,

But this way don't we need stamps from both Irish and British authorities?

There may not be a border on Fishguard but is there a border on Ireland side?

Re: cheapes-quickest self suffiency resident card in EU

I'll strongly second you on it.

This is what actually I plan to do. I'm planning to get Type C visa from Belgium and then try going to Ireland via ferry. I would then move my kids and wife to Ireland and hope to take it from there.

Re: cheapes-quickest self suffiency resident card in EU

Hi Noajthan,

Can the non eea dependent board the ferry using the type C visa issued by another country? If they don't check the visa at boarding time then entry can be obtained in Ireland using directive.

Re: cheapes-quickest self suffiency resident card in EU

I was recommended to get to France and try to cross on the ferry directly to Ireland, we will give a shot definitely Do they check your passport when you board the ferry from France. If not, then you got a great chance of entering into Ireland under the directive. Has anybody crossed ferry from Fra...

Re: Dependent Mom Visa from Pakistan

I'm planning to live in Limerick and do I need to have money for all 5 years or just an income from abroad will do?

If not for 5 years then what's the magic number of month expenses should I have ?

I work in IT and do have the option to work from anywhere in the world.

Re: Dependent Mom Visa from Pakistan

I don't think so.

Bar jobs and odd jobs are the only option.

IT job is another option but not very keen to look into IT as I don't want to live there permanently.

Re: Dependent Mom Visa from Pakistan

yes.

I'm planning to move to Belgium once my mom gets a visa. I'll rent an apartment and try to find the work. After registration, I should be able to apply for Family card based on intention to find work and rent agreement.

Is that understanding correct?
