In my experience, withdrawing my app seems to have worked in my favour. I was prepared to loose the £561 postal fee & pay again in person (£800+). I didn't think that when you withdrew, they will actually look at your application! I thought they would just pick your file up, put it in an envelop...

Re: Visa Decision without Biometrics!

Know this isn't a usual case that will help anyone but maybe it goes to show that letters are being read and constant persistent chasing will work I sent a letter to the address on my decision letter explaining I never received a Biometrics letter. The next day, my caseworker called me & apolog...

Re: Visa Decision without Biometrics!

Hi there, update on my status. I submitted my FLR(M) on 19 June and withdrew it on 25 June. Booked a PEO on 1 Aug. Were you gonna forfeit your fees when you decided to withdraw your application and pay additional £867? I am just trying to understand how this w0rks because i have been thinking about...

Re: Visa Decision without Biometrics!

Hi there, update on my status. I submitted my FLR(M) on 19 June and withdrew it on 25 June. Booked a PEO on 1 Aug. Asked my MP to chase for the return of documents (as I did not want to risk not having them back by 1 Aug) I received my documents today (13 July) and in it was a letter stating: "...

Hi, I found a PEO appointment for 1 Aug which is 6 days before my current visa expires(!). I've booked it anyway and will call UKBA tomorrow to see if I can withdraw my application before they process the payment. What happens if I get rejected on 1 Aug? It's a very straight forward application in m...

Hi, I'm thinking of withdrawing my FLR(M) application and re-applying in person. Has anyone done that? Would I loose the £561(which hasn't been taken from my card yet)? How soon would the documents take to be returned to me? Would really like to know the outcome of withdrawing an FLR(M) if anyone el...

Thanks guys. Huge relief that I can still carry on working. Phew! Though I wish I came across this forum before I submitted my application. Would have gone in person and get it over and done with! Here's my timeline: Date applied/docs sent: 18/06/2012 Date application received by UKBA: 19/06/2012 Da...

Hi everyone, I submitted my FLR(M) Unmarried partner visa on Monday (18 June 2012). Didn't come across this site till today and it's gotten me a little worried that I might not have my new visa in time. My current Tier 1 visa expires on 7 Aug 2012. What happens to my employment status if I don't get...
