Re: Return BRP after Citizenship Ceremony within 5 days

I recetly returned to UK using my birth country passport. Slight delay at the immigration as the officer was keen to know why I did not use my british passport upon return. Was asked to be seated for about 10 minutes before the officer cross-checked and allowed entry without any issues.

Re: General questions on becoming British

Well just for my knowledge really. I wondered how the UK immigration officer will know how many days I spent out of the country since there is no entry or exit stamp on my passport each time I make the trip and return to UK. Are they just taking my word for it when I say I was away for X amount of ...

Re: General questions on becoming British

Thank you.

Did you mean when my boarding pass is scanned before I go thru the security check? I don't remember of having to produce my passport to any officials on UK exit except to the airline staff just before boarding a flight.

Re: Employment History- working holiday period

Hmmmm Odd then why NCS will ask you to put the date you first entered irrespective of your intention. anyways, will the time spent on Working holiday maker count towards "5 years residency requirement"? I came on WHM in 2009 and got my spouse visa in 2010 no it doesn't count because WHM c...

How long to spend at NCS?

Hi

I am planning to apply for my naturalisation via my local NCS.
Probably will take time off from work on weekday to do it since my weekend schedules are quite busy at the moment.
Could someone advise estimates on how long does it take for the whole process to be completed at NCS?

Thanks

Re: Tier 2 Dependent Extension Complication (Fund Maintenanc

Just contacted UKBA and was told the maintenance fund can be held under the Tier 2 holder(me) and not necessarily the dependent.
This guideline was not very clear even the online application gives the impression the fund maintenance needs to be held on the applicant's name.
