Re: Delaying the citizenship ceremony possible?

You have 90 days from the date of your invitation to attend a ceremony. As long as you're within the required timeframe then you're good.

If you are applying through NCS, you should be given a separate form in which you can put your payment details. NCS will then send this form with your application to the Home Office. Soon thereafter, you will receive a letter from HO confirming the debit of fees. A least this is how it's done at my ...

your documents have been returned only because HO has already taken note of your application and registered you in the system. When did you apply, by the way? You would normally receive your approval letters separately.

No, NCS won't ask for your proof of address but you are required to put your present address on the form. If you're uncertain just yet as to when you'd be moving to your new address, I suggest that you put your current address on the application. When you have already moved house then just advise HO...

You have been waiting for so long! All the while I thought HO has been doing well in speeding up its approval process. Have you called them again? If all else fails, it's advisable to already involve your MP or have you done this as well?

I don't think HO will make a fuss out of a trivial concern as your referee's writing in lower case :D Your referees are required to put their contact numbers where they can easily be reached in case HO calls them. Hence, if your professional referee can be reached at his company's contact number, th...

If you don't anymore have your original LIUK certificate with you (as I know of some people who have submitted theirs to HO when they applied for ILR and never got them back), then just note on your application that you already passed the test. It's good if you know your certificate number but other...

With regard to your referees using a different date format, that's perfectly fine. One of my referees did the same and it wasn't a concern at all. With regard to stapling of photos, yes you also can. NCS affixed our photos on our application forms by stapling them. They're more secured by doing this...

I had mine and my kids' birth certificates laminated as well but the lady from NCS just made a few calls at the HO who confirmed that they may be accepted. There have been several discussions in the board regarding this. It appears that the type of approval letter varies from one council to another. It doesn't have any difference apart from the obvious. If you are given the instructions to call your council to book your ceremony schedule, then do so.

I haven't heard of anyone who was visited at home by HO for any reason while their naturalisation application is in process. It's unlikely. If HO has any queries or requires further supporting documents, they normally write you. Home visit is unheard of unless there's someone here in the board who c...

It shouldn't be a concern. It would be if you are able to give them bank or credit card details when you actually don't have any as it's clearly dishonesty :D So relax. They will ask you questions which you and only you know the answers. That's how they validate the applicant's identity.
