You have to stay within UK during the application process since you are without a passport. So if the application process takes 6 months, you will have to stay in the UK all 6 months.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe NVQ level is only relevant if you are doing the 50k route. If you have 200k, the you can sell ink cartridges.

Very informative. Just out of curiosity, only the PSW route would require the business to be at the graduate level right? So if you are applying for 500k route, it could be the taxi company or a pound store or anything?

From the immigration point of view, it is all clear. You can fund your business operations from anywhere in the world as long as you can show proofs. Not sure about PSW router but for 200k Entrepreneur route, you have to register the company within 6 months of receiving the visa. That's plenty of time to set things up.
