I applied from vfs cochin on 2/4/2012,collected my passport today,visa rejected.The reason is i have submitted my provisional degree certificate and hence english requirement not met.We plan to make appeal with my original degree certificate.Does anybody know whether i can travel to UK during appeal...

The UKBA site in their english languagement requirement page have mentioned that they dont accept original provisional certificate,but if you are submitting provisional you need to submit academic reference from head of institution.I came across this after submitting my application.I submitted my pr...

I got reply from BHC Chennai today saying that they are having a large number of applications and is facing a backlog currently and thats the reason for the delay.

@sraz As the delay is there for all applicants from chennai and cochin,i hope it wont last long.I hope we would get some good news this week or next

@ant06 I applied from cochin on april 2nd.The condition is pretty much same here,no response from their side.I had called vfs a few times,but they give the standard reply always.I had sent a mail to BHC,but no reply for that.I think we dont have any options left other than this painful waiting

@sraz,i applied for settlement visa on april 2nd from cochin.I called VFS today and they told me the current processing time for Cochin is 63 working days.So lets hope we get it by next week.
