Re: 3 days left till expiry - really need advice

Dear CR001, still completing the paperwork to post later today. I am currently writing a sponsorship statement and just wanted to know if I should put "my husband is applying for FLRM" or "My husband is applying for an extension to FLRM"? Also on the FLR(M) form theres a question...

Re: 3 days left till expiry - really need advice

If he meets the requirements it is flr(m) but you must send it before his visa expires. Flr(FP) is for when you don't meet the requirements and will put him on a 10 year path (4 x 2.5 year visas) which you don't want. Brilliant, thank you. Yes he meets all the requirements (employment, salary, Engl...

Re: 3 days left till expiry - really need advice

Okay, we will use B1. I spoke to a solicitor today and she told me he needs a different English test for FLR(M). But I will now disregard that. I have one last question please, someone mentioned form FLR-FP instead of FLR(M). I know you've said its FLR(M) but just want to confirm thats the only form...

Re: 3 days left till expiry - really need advice

Thank you again.
He has a level B1 with distinction. He took it three weeks and and also did the Life in the UK test last month.
Will the B1 suffice or does he have to take a different test?

Re: 3 days left till expiry - really need advice

His residence for ILR starts from the date he ENTERED the UK and not from the date his visa was issued. Thank you CR001. If he applies for an extension does he have to use the same SET(M) form and does he need to take another English test? Im sorry for all the questions but with a spinning head it ...

Re: 3 days left till expiry - really need advice

I have just spoken to a solicitor who has advised to still go ahead with the application for indefinite leave to remain as by the time a decision is made he would have completed 5 years. (My husband has already completed the Life in UK test and an approved English test). I am slithery of this approa...

Re: 3 days left till expiry - really need advice

He applied in India on July 2012, I don't know the exact date but it was under the new rules of a minimum income of £18600, the application was refused, we wrote back asking to have the decision made by the ECO overturned and it was overturned on May 20th 2013. Visa issued on 3rd June 2013.

Appeal Process - please advise - solicitor not helping

My husband's spouse visa was refused and we are currently going through the appeal process. However the process has so far been nothing but a nightmare as our solicitor has been anything but helpful. Our appeal was lodged a few weeks ago (by my solicitor) and he has set all originals documents to th...

Online or Postal?

My husband and I are in the process of preparing our appeal paperwork and we only have a week left to submit. However, I am not sure as to whether we should send the appeal online or via post. The appeal guidance form reccommends to send the appeal online, to save time and to avoid delays. However m...

It would be better if you kept your posts in one thread. It is standard practice for them to retain the originals during the appeal process. My apologies - I will keep one thread next time. So do they just pick and choose documents they want to keep? Even though the documents they have kept have no...

Now What......?

As mentioned in previous posts, my husband's spouse visa has been rejected. We are now preparing for an appeal. However I have just realised that the UKBA have not sent me back all my documents. All my proof such as phone bills, emails etc are missing and the most important thing - all my proofs of ...

Spouse Visa Appeal Process - Please Advise

Hi all, Over a week ago my husband received a refusal for his settlement visa application. We are now looking to appeal the decision. I have a few questions that I am still very unsure about. I have seen at least four different solicitors, all of whom have given me conflicting advice. To be honest I...

Hannah - the issue you've got is that the rules are now explicit about the evidence they want. So if you don't have your registration certificate - you need to get a copy from HMRC. In terms of the accounts - did you actually send a copy of the SA form and the appropriate statement of account from ...

Re: Spouse Visa Refused

If you can provide the necessary proof that satisfy the reasons for refusal, there is every possibility of getting the ECM review to overturn the decision. Thank you, that is what we are hoping for. For this to go to Court would really be devastating because I have been told that it can take 6 mont...

Spouse Visa Refused

Hi all, My husband's spouse visa has been refused, we applied under the new rules and they refused us on two points, one which seems pretty baseless to me. We were supposed to apply before the rule changes came into effect but we were not given an appointment in time and so had to apply after the ch...

LoveMybaby786 - thanks for that.
So the copies your solicitor made, did you submit all of these along with the originals, or were these copies made for your own reference to keep?
I ask because I was told to copy every single thing too but keep that for my own records in case they lose something.
