My application was submitted on 27th August and the application was refused and they mentioned that a sponsorship undertaking was requested and we did not submit... which is not true.

Please don't assume that it is refusal... but hope for the best...

ECM overturning decisions

Has anyone been through this route? I.e. ECM overturning a decision made by the ECO?

My argument is that the ECO did not look at all the documents I have submitted and it was ridiculous to say that my annual salary isn't my gross annual salary even though it exceeds the current financial requirement!

Thank you guys. I sent an email to chennai.visaenquiry at the same time I wrote here - who replied almost immediately saying that the email has been forwarded to the ECM who will respond within 20 working days. There was no undertaking requested and at the time of submission, it was not requested ei...

The application was refused! ECO's stated the following: your sponsor has been requested to give a written undertaking to be responsible for your maintenance and accomodation under paragraph 35 but has not done so.... I didn't know that this was a requirement.. but for the application to be refused ...

Your bank statements need to show that your salary has been going into the account... you do not have to declare any other accounts or loans or repayments.

I've received an email from the casework team this morning saying that a decision has been made on the visa application and that the passport will be despatched in the next 2-3 working days. There has been no updates via their automated emails or on the tracking site. I hope I haven't infuriated the...

I wish I can advise you on this; but the UKBA are so tight in allowing visitors. My wife's application to visit UK last year was rejected. I then used a visa4uk company to whom I had to pay £500. They wrote a letter which was basically no different to the invitation letter I wrote. My wife was issue...

I've just noticed... The email confirming that my wife's visa is being processed at the british high commission has my wife's name incorrectly spelt.... could this cause issues later on? I'm asking, because I have recently entered this waiting game... and i'm already concerned after looking at some posts on this forum...

The pre-entry screening requirement we rolled out on 16th August.. Anyone who applied prior to this is advised to carry an x-ray - people who apply after 16th August would have a certificate to confirm they are clear from infection from an approved clinic. You can get a X-Ray from any hospital/clinic.
