Re: Trinity B1 certificate from non-approved centre for Transitional Rules applicant

Yes. I'd rather pay £150 than potentially lose the application fee. Thanks again.

Re: Trinity B1 certificate from non-approved centre for Transitional Rules applicant

Thank you for your response. Having done some more research I think I have my answer. On page 14 of the "Naturalisation as a British citizen – A guide for applicants To be read in conjunction with Booklet AN" document it states: If you have a B1 level qualification that was accepted for th...

Trinity B1 certificate from non-approved centre for Transitional Rules applicant

Hello. My wife has a Trinity College B1 (GESE 5) certificate from 2014, which is an approved course, but her exam wasn't taken at an approved test centre, because in 2014 there weren't any rules about having to take the exam from specific SELT centres. That rule came in in 2015. With that B1 certifi...

Re: ILR Spouse visa questions

If you can get your bank to stamp and/or sign the printed statements (which I assume looks different to the normal statements you get in the post) there is no reason for the statements to not be accepted. If it's not stamped / signed, then I think it depends on the caseworker; whether you get a reas...

Thank you both. I guess I'll have to explain it properly in the "further info" section in 3.9 whatever interpretation is given to the questions.

Re: Some SET(M) questions

Thanks pelen23. I appreciate your suggestions. If you don't mind me asking, have you also gone through the process of applying for ILR using SET(M) and was the outcome as you expected?

Some SET(M) questions

Hi everyone. I have one or two questions regarding the SET(M) form, which am hoping someone can shed some light on. Query 1 ======== Question 2.3: When did your relationship begin? Question 2.5: How long have you been living in a relationship? Question 2.6: When did you begin living together? Is que...

It is form FLR(M) for a spouse visa/unmarried partner visa. Is your friend applying after he gets married or before? How long has he known her? Is she British/settled?? The income requirement of £18,600 is the minimum and anything less will most likely result in refusal. http://www.ukba.homeoffice....

Questions about switching from Student to Spouse Visa

Hi everyone, My cousin is currently on a student visa. He has been in the UK for 3 or 4 years now and his student visa expires next April. He is both working and studying. He does not work more than allowed (I think the limit is 20 hours a week), and he goes to college as he should. Now, he has met ...

But otherwise can take 3 months and few days? Or 4 months perhaps? 24 weeks = 5 and a half months. This means it can take anywhere up to 6 months. They try to do it for three months, but there is no guarantee it will be done in that time. My wife applied from Bangladesh, and I don't know how simila...

Alhamdulillah, my wife's visa has been granted. Over twenty weeks of waiting, plus the 6 months of working at a new job before applying, getting paperwork together, it has finally resulted in a positive outcome. I have never been through a procedure the outcome of which is so life changing ...and th...

Finally the status has changed from "in process" to "processed - in transit", 20 weeks after the application was made. I just pray that the decision is what we are hoping for. Application submitted at VFS Sylhet: 2nd April In process at BHC Dhaka: 10th April Processed - in transi...

I emailed the high commission after 12 weeks and also after 16 weeks. Both times they sent a generic message saying they have more applications than usual and that is the reason for the delay, and so we have to be a bit more patient. It's worth contacting them, just in case they do respond with help...

@farhad I think the processed status that you are referring to refers to the processing of vfs. After that the status is something like application forwarded to the high commission in dhaka, and after that the status something like application is in progress. This stage usually takes the most amount...

SDLondon, Do you have any updates from your friend at VFS Global in Sylhet? It would be great to know when they received the last batch of applications from the High Commission and what dates those applications were made on. When are they expecting their next batch? Any help is much appreciated. :)
