Just logged in to look at appointments and it seems that this time of night is the best time to look, there were 3 available for August 29, so that's given me hope of getting a premium appointment if I keep searching in the next week for the right day. Bit more hope there!

Thank you for the confirmation! Been trying to find something to that effect but that website is an absolute mess. Blimey, the only time I'm thankful for having a disability though! I did read something about appointments being grabbed internally to sell to solicitors for hiked up fees. I'll have to...

Income threshold and DLA when applying for FLR(M)/PEO Appt!!

My partner and I are due to be married in a month and we were told that as I am on DLA, the income threshold would be lower. Is this actually true? After tax, he earns around 800 a month and is guaranteed his job, assuming he gets further leave to remain. His boss said even if we had to go to Oz for...

Bit late to the party here, but if this is any help, when your partner lives with you, you will lose ALL of your income support and disability top-up UNLESS you get non-income related ESA, which only lasts a year anyway. So once you marry, they will have to support you. In the meantime, you should g...

I spoke to a benefits advisor the other day and I *think* you can apply for working tax credits since you're British and work here. It looks like, from what you posted, that she can apply too, but UKBA is so vague on these things. I was told my partner wouldn't be entitled to any benefits if he work...

That is excellent to know and one less thing to worry about, although I am still wondering if the fact he's not been living with me for that long will cause any problems with the application.
Do you know where I can find answers to my other questions as I can't find anything on here?

Really? We are going to get married here, but then when I called the UKBA a few weeks back they said he couldn't switch....but then I suppose it's not really switching. I can't really trust the UKBA though, since I've spoken to some who say 'we can't advise you', some who've given us a load of tosh,...

Another question, we don't want to be away from the flat for too long and initially intended only 6 weeks before we found out he could not extend his stay and has to go back anyway. It may well take longer than that, I'm not sure. CAN HE come back in as a visitor while waiting for his visa, or would...

Application for Spouse visa from outside UK

I have a few questions to ask about mine and my fiance's impending application for a spouse visa.... There are a lot of details, so please bear with me! My fiance and I plan to marry in the next couple of months before his tier 5 visa runs out in October. We then plan to go to his country, Australia...
